Tip #3-- Instant Power. I want to help you get off the tee a little better by providing a power tip for your swing. This is a great little tip because it doesn’t require practice even though a little practice never hurts. Follow the setup procedure below and soon you will find more distance in your game.
1. Assume your normal address position.
2. Position the golf ball opposite your left big toe.
3. Position your hands slightly behind the ball.
4. Flare out your left foot 45 degrees.
Those four keys are vitally important in order to add extra yards to your game. But here is the real secret. As you begin your downward movement toward the golf ball you must continue to turn your body as you swing your arms through the golf ball. When you finish your chest should be facing at the target or left of the target. Give this swing thought a try and with a little practice you will gain that extra yardage that you crave.

Tip #2--Pre-round tips. Most of you do not take the time to hit a few balls, chip, or even putt before playing and this causes many mistakes that can be corrected. Follow the outline below and you will be amazed at how well you score during the winter season.
Driving Range
Hit a few balls before playing is crucial for a variety of reasons. First of all it helps warm up the muscles on a cool morning. Secondly, it helps develop rhythm for the upcoming round. Finally, it allows you to get one or two swing thoughts in your head. Try hitting the first five balls with your feet together. It will do wonders for your game.
Chipping
If you don’t do anything else before playing, please hit a few chips. It is more important than putting before playing. Chipping establishes rhythm and balance it also gives you the opportunity to make a number of small swings, which will then extend into longer swings on the golf course. Try chipping to several different targets this will help with feel and distance control.
Putting
Most players will spend the little time they do warm up on putting. That’s fine as long as the time is productive. Start your warm up session with very long putts 30 or 40 feet would be appropriate. Next, putt three balls to three different targets this will help with distance control. Finally, putt until you make at least 5 three foot putts in a row. This will give you a boost of confidence that will jump start your round of golf.
If you try to incorporate any of the above routines into your pre-round routine you will start your round better, score better and ultimately lower your score during the winter.
